Septic tanks are designed to be an active living ecosystem, relying on bacteria to effectively break down wastes. Attempting to remove bad odours with a cocktail of harmful chemicals such as bleach or disinfectant may kill the smell for a short time,  but also kills the “good” bacteria, allowing “bad” bacteria to thrive and resulting in an even smellier dead tank. In severe cases a complete pump-out and restart may be necessary. Add AquaBoost Waste Water Starter to inoculate the newly filled tank with “good” bacteria and get it off to a good start.
